Argh! Very shameful!

Argh! Very shameful on bus today! While on bus 172 on my way home, I fell asleep unknowingly. That's fine I guess when you're really tired. But the thing was, I was falling to the side where another passenger was sitting and I was about to drool! Oh my god! I can't believe it that I almost did such thing! BUT! Luckily, all of a sudden I came to my sense and managed to save my saliva from dripping out! I don't know if anyone or the passenger beside me saw that! But at least I didn't leave the bus with my uniform wet! Haha! Phew!
And after bus 172, I changed to take bus 198 and again I fell asleep! Luckily this time round I was sitting just beside the window. So my head didn't fall on the passenger beside me. But I missed the bus stop I was supposed to alight. Actually I can just press the bell again to alight but I didn't wanna. Later so paiseh... Grr... What a shameful day!

Rob-B-Hood (2006)

Release Date: 29th September 2006
Details: 134 mins, G, Comedy/Action
Starring:
Yuanyuan Gao, Terence Yin, Michael Hui, Jackie Chan, Charlene Choi
Directed by: Benny Chan

For never-do-well compulsive gambler Slipper (Jacky Chan), there's only one thing more fearsome than debtors at his doorstep-having to coax a crying baby. But what if the baby becomes his golden goose to fend off his debtors? Can he overcome his phobia of diapers, milk bottles and cloying lullabies?
Brought up in impoverished family, and kicked out of school in his teens, Slipper found himself on the wrong side of the track despite being nimble-footed and neat-figured. Spurned by his family and hounded by debtors, he is goaded by his greedy landlord (Michael Hui) to collaborate in harebrained heists. Together with the agile and opportunistic Octopus (Louis Koo), the trio kidnaps BB, the grandson of a tycoon. However, due to some unexpected glitches, they fail to hand him over to the triads as planned.
With the assistance of an angelic nurse Melody (Gao Yuanyuan), the landlord's baby-crazy wife (Teresa Carpio), and Octopus' teenage fan Pak Yin (Charlene Choi), the macho men discover the joys of "Rob-B-Hood". When they realize that the triad is after both the ransom and BB's life, they decide to make their hostage their protogee. Cornered by cops and threatened by ferocious gangsters, this trio of incorrigible merrymen embarks on a hair-raisingly dangerous and deliriously funny escapade to put BB safely back in his cradle.

This is one humorous movie to catch! The baby in the show is very cute! Thanks to Selwyn for the complimentary ticket! Though it's a bit last minute and I had to tilt my head 90 degrees up to look at the screen, 'cos I was sitting on the second row from the front at SHAW Bugis. Nonetheless it's still worth it since it's free and it's a good catch not to be missed especially when I need such kind of movie this period.

Swissôtel The Stamford, Singapore

Went to Swissôtel to celebrate Merlin and Darrens' 21st birthday. Hmm... It's nice to catch up with the rest. Knowing what they are doing now and seeing them all fine. Seems that the only one who's not alright is me.
I don't know why, but I suspect I'm having depression or some kind of stress illness. I'm sure. I was totally lost on my way to Swissôtel. Frantic. Panic. Don't know what to do. Though not as serious as seen on TV. Luckily. Still, I believe I have some problem.
However, I managed to control my mind/emotions/behaviour after I had a lavander spa in the bath tub. Somehow, I managed to tell myself to throw away all the burden I had in me. I was totally lost then. Don't know what to do. My mind was totally out of my control. So many things just went in and out and back again over and over again in my head. I really thought I was going crazy. Maybe it's a choice of whether I wanna let go and be less bothered by the events that happened, happening and going to happen in the future.
Anyway, I shall keep an eye on myself perhaps. And maybe I might wanna seek professional consultation to better understand my condition.
The stay in the hotel was great though. They were happily chatting, playing around while I was tackling my mental problem. I was very quiet then and trying to avoid them 'cos I don't wish to blow up/shout or do whatever silly things in their birthday gathering. I'll be such a wet blanket then. Yet, I have to control my mental blockage. Was in such a contradiction somehow...
I told Merlin I might be having depression. and she thought I was joking and tried to comfort me in her way. Of course it was useless. 'Cos obviously no one understands me or the situation I was in then. She's those happy-go-lucky type of person whom I would wanna be like. She's such a good friend of mine. Knowing of my problem, she tried to treat me better with the tidbits I wanna buy and even bought a bottle of lavander aromatherapy massage essential oil for me, 'cos I said I wanna do a spa in the tub. These are small little things which I would appreciate a friend could offer when I needed most. I'm glad that she's doing well now and living happily, working in a hotel as what she wants. Looking more and more gorgious too!
-Deleted- I don't know what I'm trying to drive at... I'm tired... People, please don't tag for this post... Please!

Amazing?

Happiness Quotes

Happiness doesn't exist on the far side of distant mountains. It is within you, yourself. Not you, however, sitting in idle passivity. It is to be found in the vibrant dynamism of your own life as you struggle to challenge and overcome one obstacle after another, as you clamber up a perilous ridge in pursuit of that which lies beyond.

If you want to build a happy life, you have to give careful thought to the foundations. Happiness certainly cannot be secured on appearances or affectation. Happiness comes down to the inner state of our life at a given moment.

When we draw strength from within, our outlook undergoes a dramatic transformation; everything around us looks completely different. To be strong—that is the key to happiness.

Where can we find happiness? Happiness is not found in a tranquil life free of storms and tempests. Real happiness is found in the struggles we undergo to realize our goals, in our efforts to move forward.

As long as we are alive we will experience sufferings. But that does not mean we have to be unhappy. Unhappiness comes from allowing ourselves to be controlled by life's ups and downs—from feeling defeated, from losing hope, losing courage, losing the will to advance.

We each move forward secure on our own earth, not the earth of others. Happiness is something we must create for ourselves. No one else can give it to us.

This is specially dedicated to my dearest Fattoon. We're on the same boat, in the same shoe, serving the same organisation, having kinda same fate (I guess mine is slightly better)... I don't exactly know if you're searching for Happiness too, besides sex. LOL! Erm... But I do always see you whining in your blog! Haha! So maybe you're? I don't know. Anyway, just read it.
Wow, while I am writing this (FYI I'm on leave), my RQ (boss) can call me and ask me how to do ES!!! Duh! He was the one who taught me and now I do everything and he doesn't know how to do a simple loan STO. Ok, maybe he's old. I shouldn't be calculative instead, embracing! Eeek! Haha!

Angel - Sarah Mclachlan

You spend all your time waiting
for that second chance
For a break that would make it okay
There's always some reason
to feel not good enough
And it's hard at the end of the day

I need some distraction,
oh, beautiful release
Memory seep from my veins
Let me be empty,
oh, and weightless And maybe
I'll find some peace tonight

In the arms of the angel
Fly away from here
From this dark cold hotel room
And the endlessness that you fear

You are pulled from the wreckage
Of your silent reverie
You're in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort here

You're so tired of the straight line,
and everywhere you turn
There's vultures and thieves at your back
The storm keeps on twisting,
you keep on building the lies
That you make up for all that you lack

It don't make no difference
Escaping one last time,
it's easier to believe
In this sweet madness,
oh, this glorious sadness
That brings me to my knees

In the arms of the angel
Fly away from here
From this dark cold hotel room
And the endlessness that you fear

Oh, you are pulled from the wreckage
Of your silent reverie
You're in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort here

In the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort here

"Angel" is a song by Sarah McLachlan that originally appeared on her 1997 album Surfacing. As McLachlan explained on VH1 Storytellers, the song is about the Smashing Pumpkins touring keyboard player Jonathan Melvoin, who overdosed on heroin and died in 1996. McLachlan explained that there's nothing constant when you are on the road; everything becomes the same.
Released as a single in 1999, "Angel" has an enduring popularity. It is often used to highlight emotional scenes on television shows and has featured in a number of soundtracks (including the film City of Angels and TV's Dawson's Creek and General Hospital) and as a song of comfort and healing following the September 11, 2001 World Trade Center terrorist attacks.

Quite a nice movie to catch! It's funny with the characters bitching and flirting around in a school campus. Reminds me of Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Huh! And John Tucker is the one who acted in Desperate Housewives! Catch this movie and make yourself feel young at heart!

The Devil Wears Prada (2006)

Release Date: 31st August 2006
Details: 106 mins, PG, Drama/Comedy
Starring:
Adrien Grenier, Stanley Tucci, Anne Hathaway, Simon Baker, Meryl Streep
Directed by: David Frankel
Local Distributor: 20th Century Fox
Based on the best-selling novel, The Devil Wears Prada stars two-time Academy Award winner Meryl Streep as high-powered fashion magazine editor Miranda Priestly, and Anne Hathaway, as Miranda's new assistant - a small-town girl trying to survive her impossibly demanding new boss.
This is a fashion movie. Most of the clothes worn by the cast are not found in Singapore I guess. All down to the reason of the one and only summer season in Singapore.
I quite like the way Miranda throws her bags and jackets on Andy's table where she's suppose to hang them orderly in the wardrobe. Haha! That kind of power she has over her assistant and her colleagues. She has all the power in the fashion industry!
Towards the end, though Anne succeed in accomplishing the tasks assigned by Miranda, be it running errands or even impossible missions of getting a plane or getting the first copy of the latest Harry Potter, she realised that she shouldn't keep the job. That's not the direction she wants to head in her life. She backed off and starts her career all over again.
This sets me pondering about my own life. The decisions that I've made for my future. Would these be fruitful or all but just a dream? And I'd love to stay in Europe, especially Paris in the future, for a short-term. I just love the way it looks and the culture they have there. So I must brush up my French and continue learning it just for that day to happen!

The Banquet (2006)

Release Date: 15th September 2006
Details: 129 mins, G, Drama/Action
Starring:
Daniel Wu, Jingwu Ma, You Ge, Zhou Xun, Ziyi Zhang
Directed by: XiaoGang Feng
Local Distributor: Shaw Organization
The Banquet is set in ancient China during the period of Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms. Against this background of internal turmoil and external threat lives Empress Wan. As beautiful as she is limber, she harbours forbidden desires for her stepson Prince Wu Luan. When the Emperor dies all of a sudden and his younger brother Li takes the throne, Wan marries Li to protect Wu Luan and seal her own position in the court. But Li is no fool and dispatches murderers that ultimately fail to kill Wu Luan. When Emperor Li proclaims a big banquet, Wu Luan and Wan realise it is time to strike.
Went to watch it with Jeremy and Justin at Golden Village Plaza. I'd find it not a bad movie. The aesthetic level is there, however, I don't fancy the storyline. It's not that interesting for this kind of storyline. And where is the climax?
