je suis triste

There are some facts which would not change. No Chance or opportunity to. Chance. There are some facts which would not change and I have to accept it. No choice to choose. Choice. I guess I have to face the reality. Reality is harsh. This world is harsh. Everyone is.

We all do not have the ability to change the facts inherited in us since birth. Family background, physical appearance, maybe even behaviour... So is life predestined? Can we or do we have a chance to change what that is to happen in the future? Is our life in our hands? I believe to a certain it is. But most of the time, we cannot change the facts inherited in us and what it brings to us.

I am sad. I cannot change the fact for those I want to eliminate and for those I yearn for them to stay. Life is predestined. I am not talking about love relationship. If you know me well enough, it is only a small part in life that I cherish. For love relationship is never my priority. My priorities are personal well-being, family relationship and friendships! The last is love life?

Anyway, the main point is, I wish to either eliminate this person or this person change himself. Which is very unlikely for this person to change since all these years he has been like that. What to do? It is like a bonus to me ever since I was born.

Good-hearted dreamer Larry Daley, despite being perpetually down on his luck, thinks he's destined for something big. But even he could never have imagined how big, when he accepts what appears to be a menial job as a graveyard-shift security guard at a museum of natural history. During Larry's watch, extraordinary things begin to occur: Mayans, Roman Gladiators, and cowboys emerge from their diorama to wage epic battles; in his quest for fire, a Neanderthal burns down his own display; Attila the Hun pillages his neighboring exhibits, and a T-Rex reminds everyone why he's history's fiercest predator.

An amusing story set with fun, jokes and laughter! One can't think logically in this movie. If not, he/she won't enjoy it. It's a movie plotted with a creative storyline yet it's still inspiring.
I like the idea of the story. Very child-like. Haha! Suitable for all ages.

The Stepford Wives (2004)

US Release Date: 11th June 2004
Details: 93 mins, Drama/Comedy
Starring:
Christopher Walken, Nicole Kidman, Glenn Close, Bette Midler, Matthew Broderick
Directed by:
Frank Oz
Joanna Eberhart thinks she's made it to the top of her world. The youngest president in the history of the EBS television network, she also has an attentive husband and two beautiful children. On the surface, Joanna's life appears to be, well, perfect--until one catastrophic day when it all comes crashing down around her. Fired from her job, her perfect marriage in trouble, unable to remember where her kids go to school, Joanna is starting to look like a candidate for electroshock therapy. Yes, there's nothing like a nervous breakdown to make Joanna and her husband Walter reexamine their priorities, pack up the family and make a fresh start in the idyllic suburban paradise of Stepford, Connecticut.
But something strange is happening in the quaint little town of Stepford, and Joanna is suspicious. So is Bobbie Markowitz, who recently moved to town with her irascible frat-boyish husband Dave. And Roger Bannister, an architect who came to Stepford hoping to save his rocky relationship with his conservative partner Jerry, is wondering what is going on too. It's the wives. They're all like Claire Wellington--beautiful, happy and unusually creative with crafts. They can bake a cake, paint the house, mow the lawn, play with the kids and still greet their husbands in lacy lingerie at the end of a busy day.
Disturbed by the stunning but subservient women she meets in Stepford, Joanna grows increasingly uneasy. On the other hand, Walter couldn't be happier. He's especially impressed by the Stepford Men's Association, a fortress-like mansion in the center of town. "The town, and the houses, and this place--it's like a dream," enthuses Walter. "Like the way life should be." Until Joanna Eberhart gets in the way.
Haha! This is an interesting movie. Very Hollywood style but the storyline is still somewhat interesting. I like it. Now I learn that it's okay not to be perfect. It's scary to be perfect! One can go mad! Haha!
Overall, I like this movie. It's somewhat eye-catchy.

Moulin Rouge (2001)

US Release Date: 18th May 2001
Details: 126 mins, Romance/Drama/Music/Historical
Starring:
John Leguizamo, Nicole Kidman, Jim Broadbent, Ewan McGregor, David Wenham
Directed by: Baz Luhrmann
Christian, a young Bohemian poet living in 1899 Paris, defies his father by joining the colourfully diverse clique inhabiting the dark, fantastical underworld of Paris' now legendary Moulin Rouge. In this seedy but glamorous heaven of sex, drugs and newly-discovered electricity, the poet-innocent finds himself plunged into a passionate but ultimately tragic love affair with Satine, the club's highest paid star and the city's most famous courtesan. Their romance is played out against the infamous club -- a meeting place of high and low, where slumming aristocrats and the fashionably rich mingle with workers, artists, bohemians, actresses and courtesans...
Overall, I find this movie very musical. And I guess Perhaps Love is the Chinese version of this. I bet the director copied this movie's idea, combining musical and dramatic romance storyline together. Not a bad idea though. Perhaps Love won many awards and praises.
There is actually something I don't exactly like about this movie, but I just can't figure it out exactly. Hmm... Maybe it's a bit boring in the story... Though I find the scenes on the musical part interesting, I find some other too cliche.
