Aloha Changi Chalet

Just came back from Merlin's birthday at Aloha Changi Chalet. It was fun though there were just too many anonymous people whom I don't know. I was there since Friday after my shopping for some essential items. We had BBQ and it was the first time I start fire! Oh gosh! But to my surprise, it wasn't that difficult! And I learnt that we can actually burn the charcoal at a burner before we bring them to the pit to start the fire. In this way, it'll be easier and faster to start the fire. Anyway, get to know Merlin's mum better and some of her mum's friends. Haha!
And this is the first chalet that I get to sleep on a comfortable bed all alone and not squeezing together or on the floor that kind. Comfy and cosy! One bad thing about me sleeping is that I'm like totally unconcious about the things happening around me, which can be quite dangerous. Who knows there might be an earthquake? Haha! Or sudden attack from someone somewhere. That night was also my first time to gamble blackjack/21. I lost on the whole and Merlin's mum kept asking me to play. Haha! Then I had to use my wits to think of a very good answer to stop her from bugging me so I said, "Jian Hao Jiu Shou!" Haha! Then she was like woke up her idea. She's a nice auntie to talk to and be with.
And soon it's Satutrday! I slept from 3am to 10am. Woohoo! A nice, cool 7 hours of sleep at a chalet, which the Directive states but always doesn't follow. Haha! We had chalet-cooked breakfast by Merlin's mum and coffee. The food is very much acceptable compared to the previous chalets I went. One very good thing about this 'package' is that I don't have to pay a single cent. The only thing I paid for is Merlin's present, which is a must! And poor Merlin is the one paying all these without subsidise from her parents. It's so much like a family and friends get-together chalet then like her own birthday chalet. Though she get to invite who she wanna invite, her mum get the priviledge/honour too! Weird right! As I said, she's a happy-go-lucky person so she's okay with anything. For me, NO! It wouldn't be MY birthday then if that happen.
And the day was spent on watching some boring Channel U programmes and casual chats here and there with Rebecca, Darren, Rui Hua and auntie and erm... I think mahjong! Which I think I'm quite good at. At least much more better than the luck-only blackjack. I hate to play games that need luck! I don't have much of it. What I have is some wits I guess. Everyone can think I mean and I assume I think slightly farther and faster. That's all. Yes, by Miranda Priestly. Haha! And it goes on until all the guests arrived, with BBQ and buffet available and guests like the uncles and aunites from the relatives side, and a few cute babies and I mean CUTE and a dog etc... Followed by sessions and sessions of mahjong, cake-cutting and again a few more rounds of mahjong until I just feel like sleeping and I just did so with the rest playing and making noise... Haha!
I managed to dose off successfully and comfortably until like 3am I woke up, need to go to pee and I found no one in the room! All pitch dark! Like a haunted room! And hmm... I just carry on with my small business and was thinking of calling them to ask where were they but then I headed back to sleep. Know what, they went to see Ah Gua at Changi Village! I wasn't interested. Then around 6am Rui Hua woke me up to check if I wanna leave together with them since they are going to then. I was like not tired at all then and can just get up with a clear mind, remember to take my stuff from another room and then head home with them. And the chalet ended here... =)
